I also occasionally experience a separate issue which causes my character to become stuck invisible until I change armour pieces (either adding or removing one), and it's a weird kind of invisibility, too. In Fallout4.esm Sneak05 applies the effect "PerkSneakInvisibility", which appears to generate a stealth field (like that of a stealth boy) for one second.
